A self-gazing poem by Kezya...

I look at her
This girl in the mirror
I cant force myself to call her me
She answers with a look of her own
Naked and dripping with water
Unashamed insolent mocking

Her glittering eyes
Wide and childlike
Have seen too much
Things shed rather forget
Here eyes are slant
Or is she just scowling?

She smiles a shaky smile
Oh so expectant oh so sweet
How many lies has this small mouth uttered?
Only I know
Only I can tell

Atop her head a crown of fiery locks
A color just as true as her whole demeanour
But it does suit her
She knows it

She raises her hand
Lets me study it better
Blue rivers estuaries
Under a paper-like film
I see a criss-cross of scars
In their unmasked glory
I must have caught her off guard
Normally she hides them well

I look further down
Her body is white and smooth
Funny it seems so pure
So innocent after all

Droplets of water trickling
Heart beating lungs filling with air
She stands there
Naked unashamed
A picture of innocence
False
